Chapter 68 - The Silent Infiltration

The muted explosion in the wine cellar barely registered as a dull thud above ground, masked by the rolling thunder of a sudden coastal storm.
Daniel stepped through the rubble into the sprawling, climate-controlled cellar. He was inside.
He pulled the suppressed submachine gun to his chest, moving up the spiral staircase with the lethal silence of a ghost who knew every creak in the floorboards.
On the ground floor, two armed security contractors were patrolling the grand hallway. Daniel slipped behind a marble pillar. As the first guard walked past, Daniel stepped out, firing two suppressed rounds directly into the back of the man's head. The guard dropped without a sound.

The second guard turned, raising his rifle, but Daniel was faster. A three-round burst to the chest dropped him instantly.
Daniel dragged their bodies into the coat closet, leaving the grand hallway empty. He wiped a speck of blood from his cheek. He wasn't just a spoiled heir anymore; prison had stripped away his weakness and replaced it with a monstrous efficiency. He walked toward the stairs, heading for the master suite.
