Chapter 49 - The Extraction of Information


Alejandro signaled to his men, who grabbed Marcus by the arms and forced him back into his chair. The other board members watched in terrified silence.
"I'm sorry!" Marcus wept. "I didn't know they were going to shoot up the gala! He just said he wanted to send a message!"
"Where is Vargas's local strike team hiding?"
Alejandro demanded, leaning over the table until he was inches from Marcus’s face.
"I don't know!"
"Wrong answer," Alejandro said, pulling his pistol and aiming it directly at Marcus's kneecap.
"Wait! Wait!" Marcus shrieked. "They have a warehouse! At the old commercial docks! Pier 17! That's where the hitmen are staging their operations!"
Alejandro lowered the weapon.

"You are fired, Marcus. My men are going to escort you to the police station, where you will confess to corporate espionage and conspiracy to commit murder. If you ever come near my company again, I won't aim for your knee."
Alejandro turned his back on the weeping executive. He had the location. It was time to cut the head off the snake.
