Chapter 55 - The Mexican Connection

Alejandro kissed Elena and Mateo goodbye at dawn, flying out on a private jet under a fake registry. He landed in a small, private airstrip in the dense jungles of southern Mexico.
He wasn't fighting a war; he was executing a surgical strike.
He met with a local informant, an old friend from his days in the slums named Hector. They sat in a dimly lit cantina near the port.
"Vargas is untouchable down here, Alejandro," Hector warned, sipping his tequila. "He lives in a fortified hacienda in the mountains. He has a hundred armed guards, attack dogs, and half the local police on his payroll."
"I don't need to fight his army," Alejandro said, sliding a thick envelope of cash across the table. "I just need you to get me inside the walls. I need the blueprints to the hacienda's underground tunnels."
Hector sighed, taking the envelope.

"You always were crazy. The old smuggling tunnels haven't been used in years, but they lead directly to the wine cellar beneath his main office."
"That's all I need."
