Chapter 7 - The Spilled Coffee

To add the final, cruel touch to the humiliation, Valeria smirked with absolute triumph.

She picked up her mug of black coffee, looked directly into Camila’s eyes, and slowly, deliberately tilted her wrist.

The dark, bitter liquid poured out, splashing messily across the pristine, polished marble floor, splattering the hem of Camila’s linen dress.

"Since you enjoy assigning chores,"

Valeria mocked, her voice dripping with sheer malice.

"Start by cleaning up this mess. And make sure you scrub it well."

Rodrigo sneered, crossing his arms over his chest.

"You heard my sister. Get a rag and clean it up. Then come back here and apologize to Valeria."

Camila remained perfectly, unnervingly still. Her dark eyes turned as cold and deep as an endless abyss. She did not look at the puddle of coffee, nor did she look at the smug faces of the Santillán family.

Instead, she slowly shifted her gaze upward, staring directly at the dark, shadowed corner above the kitchen cabinets.
