Chapter 34 - The Absolute Defeat
"If they have the deeds," Rodrigo stammered, panic finally breaking through his hardened prison exterior. "They will re-open the entire case. The asset seizures... the civil suits..."
"They will file murder charges against your father," Camila said softly. "And because you were the acting CEO of the estate, you will be indicted as a conspirator in the concealment of stolen historical assets. Your twenty-year sentence is going to turn into a life sentence without the possibility of parole."
Rodrigo slammed his shackled hands against the bulletproof glass. The sudden, violent movement caused the guards behind him to instantly reach for their batons, but Camila did not even blink. She sat perfectly still, observing his rage with the clinical detachment of a scientist looking at an insect.

"You bitch!" Rodrigo hissed through the grate, his chest heaving, spittle flying from his lips. "I will kill you! I will have you killed from in here!"
"You will die in this cage," Camila replied, her voice remaining perfectly level. "And the Santillán name will be entirely erased from history."
