Chapter 10 - The Activation Order
Camila took a slow, deep, centering breath.
"Let me go,"
She ordered, her voice completely devoid of fear.
"Do not give me orders!"
Rodrigo shouted back.
"Let me go, Rodrigo."
This time, the sheer, crushing authority in her voice was so overwhelming that Rodrigo unconsciously loosened his grip. He didn't understand why he stepped back, but the look in his wife's eyes had suddenly transformed into that of an apex predator.
Camila stepped back smoothly and picked up her cell phone from the counter. Ignoring the 17 unread wedding congratulations, she opened the chat pinned to the very top of her screen: Patricia Ocampo - Head of Legal.
She rapidly typed a single, decisive command:
“Activate marriage protocol. Secure all camera data. Immediately suspend all discretionary transfers related to Grupo Santillán and any properties operated by the family.”

“Confirmed, President Rivas. The legal department, the bank auditors, and the tactical security team are en route to Valle de Bravo.”
