Chapter 49 - The Counter-Measure

Inside the Geneva safehouse, the atmosphere was incredibly tense. Arthur had completely dismantled the titanium hard drive, extracting the raw data chips and physically grafting them onto an independent, heavily encrypted terminal entirely disconnected from the global grid. He wasn't taking any chances with Ouroboros's sophisticated cyber-warfare capabilities.

Olivia sat beside him, watching the cascading streams of decrypted data illuminate the dark room. The evidence was absolutely staggering. It wasn't just proof of the malware deployed against the Harrington-Miller AI; it was a comprehensive, horrifying historical ledger. Ouroboros Pharmaceuticals had systematically purchased, suppressed, and buried over forty promising alternative cancer treatments over the past two decades to ensure their chemotherapy monopoly remained entirely unchallenged.

"It’s a graveyard of miracles," Olivia whispered, tears of profound rage stinging her eyes as she read the internal memos detailing the financial ruin of independent researchers. "They didn't just attack David’s legacy. They have been actively suppressing humanity's survival for decades."

"This is bigger than we ever imagined, Olivia," Arthur agreed, his jaw clenched tight. "Blackwood is a mass murderer operating under the guise of global healthcare. But this data is incredibly dense. The mainstream media won't understand the algorithmic proof, and Blackwood’s lawyers will claim the memos are fabricated."

"We don't go to the media," Olivia decided, a brilliant, terrifying strategy forming in her mind. She turned to Aris, who was watching them with wide, hopeful eyes. "Aris, you wrote the Trojan virus that infected our AI, correct?"

"Yes," Aris nodded hesitantly. "I built the delivery mechanism."

"Can you reverse-engineer the delivery mechanism?" Olivia asked, leaning forward. "Can you build a payload that bypasses Ouroboros’s internal firewalls and forces this entire decrypted ledger onto their secure global servers?"

Aris’s eyes widened in absolute shock. "You want to hack Ouroboros Pharmaceuticals? Olivia, their cybersecurity is impenetrable. If they trace the hack back to us, they will deploy physical hit squads."

"They are already deploying hit squads," Arthur pointed out grimly, checking his weapon.

"Tomorrow is the World Health Summit in Zurich," Olivia stated, her voice radiating absolute, unyielding authority. "Elias Blackwood is scheduled to deliver the keynote address, assuring the world that his traditional treatments are the only safe option after our AI supposedly failed. We are going to let him step onto that stage. And right as he begins to speak, we are going to broadcast this entire ledger to every single screen in the auditorium, every hospital database they control, and every shareholder inbox in the world."

Olivia looked at the glowing data, the fierce protector of her son’s legacy fully embracing the offensive. "We are going to make Elias Blackwood confess to the world."
