Chapter 24 - The Bait
The plan required a meticulously calculated, highly publicized vulnerability.
"We are hosting the annual Crawford Philanthropic Gala next month,"
Evangeline announced, projecting a 3D blueprint of the city’s largest museum onto the bunker’s monitors.
"It is a highly public event. The media will be there. The security perimeter will appear standard, but intentionally porous near the south loading docks."
"You want to invite an assassination squad into a crowded museum?"
One of the security lieutenants asked, visibly shocked.
"I want to invite them into a steel trap,"
Evangeline corrected him smoothly.
"The south loading docks lead directly into the museum's subterranean vault. Once they step inside, they will be completely cut off from the gala. We seal the doors, and we end them."
"We need to know exactly who is leading their remnant faction,"
Eleanor noted, crossing her arms.
"I know exactly how to get a name,"
