Chapter 23 - The War Council

Evangeline did not panic. She did not cower.
She immediately summoned Eleanor and her top tactical advisors into the secure, soundproof bunker located beneath the Crawford headquarters.
"They think because Richard is gone, we have grown soft,"
Eleanor stated coldly, her eyes flashing with that familiar, terrifying predator’s gaze.
"They want to finish what they started three decades ago,"
Evangeline murmured, tracing the silver bracelet on her wrist.
"What are your orders, Ma'am?"
David asked, standing at attention with his tactical team.
"We do not wait for them to strike my home again,"
