Chapter 35 - The Birth

The midnight silence of the estate was shattered by a sudden, sharp intake of breath.

"William,"

Chloe gasped, gripping the expensive bedsheets as a massive, agonizing wave of pain tore through her lower abdomen.

William was awake instantly. He didn't panic. He moved with the rapid, calculated efficiency of a man who had planned for this exact moment for months.

"I've got you,"

William said, hitting the intercom button by the bed.

"Maria, bring the car around. Now."

The drive to the hospital was a blur of flashing streetlights and heavy breathing. When they arrived, the VIP maternity wing was already prepped and waiting for them.

The labor was intense, agonizing, and terrifyingly beautiful.

William never left her side for a single second. He held her hand, whispering fierce, loving encouragements into her ear, acting as her anchor through the storm of pain.

"You are so strong, Chloe,"

William murmured, wiping the sweat from her forehead.

"Just one more push, my love. Bring him to us."

With a final, exhausting cry, the heavy tension in the room shattered, replaced by the brilliant, piercing sound of a newborn baby crying into the quiet night.
