Chapter 16 - The Confession
William picked up the desk phone.
"Send Maria to the security room immediately,"
William instructed the front desk.
Five minutes later, Maria entered, trembling violently.
"Mr. William, I am so sorry,"
Maria blurted out, tears spilling over her wrinkled cheeks.
"Sit down, Maria,"
William said calmly.
"Was today an isolated incident?"
William asked coldly.
Maria let out a broken sob, shaking her head.
"No, sir. It wasn’t,"
She whispered.
"She ordered me to cancel the deliveries for the maternity pillows and the shower chair. She told the staff to send them back to the manufacturer."
William’s jaw locked so tightly his teeth ground together.
"She also ordered the maintenance staff to remove the temporary anti-slip strips from the grand staircase,"
