Chapter 28 - The Legal Ironclad
While Chloe rested in the sunlit master suite, William sat in his private study with Uncle Julian.
The massive mahogany desk was covered in thick, heavily notarized legal documents.
"I have finalized the trust amendments, William,"
Julian said, adjusting his glasses nervously.
"Eleanor is entirely excised from the corporate bylaws. Her name has been removed from the charitable foundations, the real estate holdings, and the offshore accounts."
"What about the non-disclosure agreements?"
William asked, signing his name with a heavy gold pen.
"Every member of the extended family has signed them,"
Julian confirmed.
"If anyone speaks to the press about her exile, they forfeit their dividends for the next decade. As far as high society is concerned, Eleanor Sterling has quietly retired to a private wellness facility in Switzerland."
William closed the leather folder with a definitive snap.
"Ensure the security teams at all our properties have her photograph,"
William commanded.
"If she tries to breach the perimeter of any Sterling asset, she is to be treated as a hostile trespasser and handed directly to the police."
