As soon as Thorne stepped onto the tarmac, dozens of armored vehicles surrounded him. Sirens pierced the sky. There was no privilege, no lawyer that could save him now. Victor Thorne was handcuffed, his face pale with terror—the exact same expression worn by the victims he had once trampled upon.
