Chapter 17 - The House in the Mountains
The safe house was hidden deep within the pine forests of the Sierra Madre. There was no cell service here, only a military-grade secure satellite connection set up by GFI.
Emily started a fire in the hearth, chasing away the biting mountain chill. Surrounding her were dozens of monitors connected to the satellite server. Being hunted didn't deter her; on the contrary, it confirmed that she had struck Victor Thorne's weak point.
"He wants to silence us," Emily said, taking a sip of hot tea. "So, we are going to make this as loud as possible. I need 48 more hours to expose the entire structure of the Blackwood network."
