Chapter 16 - Tactical Retreat
The tunnel led to a small alley behind the property. Just as she stepped above ground, Sarah's black SUV slid up, the brakes screeching. Emily opened the door and climbed in, clutching the laptop tightly.
"There are three of them. Heavily armed," Emily reported quickly.
"The police are heading to the villa, but we can't rely on local security. Thorne has bought half of this city," Sarah said, slamming the gas pedal and speeding into the night.

"Head North. I’ve prepared a safe house in the Sierra Madre mountains. No one will find you two there. Finish the file, Emily."
