Chapter 26 - The Ultimate Closure
Chloe read the letter in absolute silence.
Dear Chloe,
I am not writing this to ask for a place in your life. I relinquished that right the moment I walked away eighteen years ago. You have a father, a man far better and stronger than I could ever be.
I am writing simply to provide you with your comprehensive biological medical history, should you ever need it for your own future. I wish you nothing but a brilliant, beautiful life.

Chloe folded the letter, placing it back into the envelope alongside the medical records.
"What does it say?"
Arthur asked softly, his heart aching for his daughter.
"It says exactly what we already know,"
Chloe smiled, looking up at her father with absolute, radiant clarity.

She stood up, walked over to the filing cabinet, and dropped the envelope into a secure folder. The biological loose end was officially tied, filed away, and permanently closed.
