Chapter 24 - The Launch
Maya returned to the city with a renewed sense of purpose.
She walked into Elena’s office at the Olympus Fund. "Mom, I don't want to just audit companies. I want to build something of my own."
Elena leaned back in her chair, a proud smile forming on her lips. "I've been waiting for you to say that. What do you need?"
"I want to launch a non-profit foundation. The Aurora Initiative," Maya stated, placing a business plan on the desk. "A comprehensive resource center for women escaping financial and domestic abuse. We provide them with elite legal representation, housing, and financial literacy training so they can reclaim their independence."
Elena looked at the incredibly detailed, brilliant proposal. "It’s ambitious, Maya. It will require a lot of capital."

"I know," Maya said, her eyes shining with determination. "That's why I'm pitching it to the Olympus board tomorrow. I want the fund to be the primary sponsor."
Elena stood up and hugged her daughter tightly. "You don't need my help anymore, Maya. You are a force of nature."
