Chapter 52 - The Flood
A massive, thundering roar echoed from deep within the gorge.
The heavy stone gates at the top of the river bend swung violently open. Millions of gallons of cold, rushing river water surged into the ancient, forgotten aqueduct trench.
The water violently crashed through the dry, cracked trench, overflowing the stone banks and flooding directly into the northern orchard.
It was a tidal wave of salvation.
