Chapter 59 - The Reunion
When Julian finally pulled into the abandoned industrial park in Seattle, the morning sun was just beginning to crest the horizon. He walked up to the concrete wall, flashing the headlights in the rhythmic sequence.
The heavy doors slid open, and Julian stepped into the subterranean bunker.
Lily was sitting at a metal table, eating a bowl of cereal and coloring in a sketchbook. When she saw him, her eyes lit up. She dropped her crayon and ran across the room, throwing her arms around his waist.
"Dad!" she cried, burying her face in his jacket.
Julian dropped to his knees, wrapping his arms tightly around her, burying his face in her hair. He held her as if she were the only real thing in the entire world.
"I told you I'd be back, sweetie," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
Viktor stood in the background, a soft smile on his scarred face.
"Is the game over, Dad?" Lily asked, pulling back to look at him.

Julian looked into her innocent, bright eyes. He thought of Elias, the scrambled accounts, and the dead-man's switch that guaranteed their permanent safety.
"Yes, Lily," Julian said firmly. "The game is over. For good. We're going home."
