By 11:00 PM, the encrypted phone in Daniel's home office rang.
"We have the name, Daniel,"
The lead investigator reported over the secure line.
"Give it to me,"
Daniel ordered coldly.
"William Croft. He is a billionaire logistics magnate. He lost heavily when you dismantled your mother's empire and sent Marcus to federal prison. Croft was using their offshore accounts to launder his shipping profits."
Daniel clenched his jaw. Croft was a ruthless, deeply corrupt billionaire who had operated entirely in the shadows of the Hayes family dynasty.
"He blames you for the loss of his illicit empire,"
The investigator warned.
"Let him blame me,"
