Chapter 31 - The Global Vision

The morning after declaring that the city belonged to me, the real work began. Julian had left the coffee on my desk and immediately began drafting the expansion parameters. Rose & Wren was no longer just a dominant force in the domestic market; it was a hungry leviathan looking across the ocean. "New Footprints" was our architectural and technological marvel, a sustainable urban development that had shattered every industry record and fundamentally rewritten the rules of modern infrastructure. Now, I wanted to replicate it in London, Paris, and Tokyo.
I sat at the head of the massive obsidian conference table, watching my executive team file into the room. They looked fundamentally different now. The lingering fear, the hesitation, and the exhaustion from our previous war for survival were entirely gone, replaced by a razor-sharp, predatory confidence. They knew they worked for the apex predator of the corporate world, and they wore that arrogance like bespoke armor.
"The domestic war is over," I announced, my voice slicing effortlessly through the quiet, expectant hum of the room. "But stagnation is just a slower, more comfortable form of death. As of this morning, Rose & Wren is officially initiating 'Project Meridian'. We are taking our infrastructure models and our corporate philosophy global."

Julian tapped his tablet, bringing up massive, high-definition holographic projections of our target cities in the center of the table. "London is our first beachhead," Julian explained, his tone strictly professional but carrying a subtle, undeniable edge of excitement. "However, the European commercial real estate market is currently monopolized by the Vanguard Consortium. They are old money, deeply entrenched in the political architecture, and they do not like aggressive outsiders."
"Old money is just money that has forgotten how to fight," I replied coldly, leaning back in my heavy leather chair. "They rely on tradition, gentlemen's agreements, and political favors. We rely on relentless innovation and absolute ruthlessness. Prepare the legal teams and immediately free up three billion dollars in liquid capital. We aren't going to politely ask for a seat at their table in Europe. We are going to buy the building, demolish their table, and build our own." The room nodded in perfect, synchronized agreement. The next conquest had officially begun, and the world was utterly unprepared for Rose & Wren.
