Before the federal government had seized the Harrington assets, Isabella had executed one final, flawless digital maneuver.
She had taken the hundreds of millions of dollars that Victoria had illegally embezzled from the charity foundation, cleaned the funds through legitimate legal channels, and established a massive, anonymous trust.
She sat at the small table in the back of the bakery, reviewing the final legal documents with her encrypted laptop.
"Are you sure about this, Izzy?"
Amelia asked, bringing her a cup of coffee.
"It is a lot of money."
"It is dirty money, Amelia. It was built on the suffering of others,"
Isabella replied, signing the final digital authorization.
"But now, it is going to fund foster care programs, build community centers, and provide legal aid to families torn apart by people like Victoria."
She pressed enter.
In a matter of seconds, the massive fortune was permanently locked into an irrevocable charitable trust, completely untouchable by anyone in the Harrington family, including Isabella herself.
