Chapter 30 - The Matriarch's Fury

The silence in the ballroom was so heavy it felt like the air had been sucked out of the room.

Isabella walked with measured, lethal confidence, leading Amelia directly through the parting sea of billionaires and politicians, stopping right at the base of the grand staircase.

"What is the meaning of this?!"

Victoria shrieked, her aristocratic composure instantly shattering into pure, unhinged rage.

"Security! Remove these trespassers immediately!"

"The security team works for the highest bidder, Victoria,"

Isabella replied smoothly, her voice carrying effortlessly across the silent ballroom without the need for a microphone.

"And tonight, I signed their paychecks."

Victoria gripped the marble banister, her knuckles turning bone white, staring down at the twin sisters she had spent decades trying to destroy.

"You have absolutely no power here, Isabella. You abandoned your name. You abandoned your legacy!"

Victoria sneered, trying to regain control of the narrative in front of her peers.

"And you brought this... this pathetic, working-class replica with you to what? Beg for your trust fund?"

Amelia did not shrink back. She stepped forward, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Isabella.

"We are not here for your money, Grandmother,"

Amelia said, her voice completely steady and ringing with absolute clarity.

"We are here to watch you lose yours."
