Chapter 35 - The Exit

The ballroom remained in a state of stunned, paralyzed shock.

Isabella felt a gentle, warm hand slip into hers. She looked down and saw Amelia’s fingers intertwined with her own.

"Are you okay?"

Amelia whispered, her green eyes shining with immense pride and deep love for her twin.

"I have never been better,"

Isabella smiled, a genuine, radiant expression that completely transformed her face.

They did not stay to answer questions from the terrified billionaires or the frantic press that was surely gathering outside. They walked together, hand in hand, through the silent crowd, their heads held high.

They exited through the side doors of the hotel, stepping out into the cool, crisp night air of the city.

The heavy, suffocating weight of the Harrington legacy had been entirely lifted from their shoulders. They were no longer pawns in a sick, twisted game of corporate chess. They were simply two women, whole and unbroken, walking freely into their own future.

"Where to now, Madam CEO?"

Amelia teased gently as they walked down the quiet, lamplit street.

"Take me home, Amelia,"
