Chapter 19 - The Safe House Opens

Lumina Technologies fully funded the construction of the city's largest, most secure domestic violence sanctuary.

It wasn't a depressing, hidden concrete bunker.

It was a beautifully designed, sprawling complex with a community garden, a playground for children, an on-site legal clinic, and private therapy rooms. The security was state-of-the-art, ensuring that no abuser could ever breach the perimeter.

On the day of the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the press asked Claire what the building would be called.

Claire looked at the beautiful brick facade.
