Chapter 13 - Erasing the Name
A week after the verdict, Claire stood on the sidewalk across the street from the corporate headquarters.
A massive crane was suspended near the top of the glass skyscraper.
With a loud, metallic groan, the giant steel "B" of BENNETT TECHNOLOGIES was detached and lowered to the ground. Then the "E." Then the "N."
Richard stood beside her, holding two cups of coffee.
"It feels weird to see it come down," he admitted.
"It feels like breathing," Claire corrected him.
By the end of the afternoon, the new signage was installed.
LUMINA TECHNOLOGIES.
Named for the light that follows the darkest nights.

"The press is going to love the rebrand," Richard noted.
"I don't care about the press," Claire smiled. "I care about the culture. From today on, this building is a safe place. For everyone."
