Chapter 14 - Project Sanctuary
Inside Lumina Technologies, Claire initiated a project that no one expected.
She gathered her top software engineers into the newly renovated, bright conference room.
"For years, technology has been used by abusers to track, control, and isolate their victims," Claire addressed the team. "Ethan used our own company's GPS software to track my car. Today, we change the narrative."
She tapped the screen, displaying a new app interface.
"Project Sanctuary. An app disguised as a standard calculator or calendar. But with a specific thumb swipe, it opens a secure, encrypted channel to local domestic violence shelters, legal aides, and emergency extraction teams."
The lead engineer, a brilliant young woman named Sarah, looked at the screen with awe.

"It leaves no digital footprint on the phone," Sarah realized. "Even if the abuser checks the device, they won't see the messages."
"Exactly," Claire said. "We are going to fund it, build it, and release it globally for free. Let's give them their power back."
