Chapter 38 - The Estate Reborn
They returned to the estate that evening.
For the first time in her life, Valeria did not feel the oppressive, heavy shadows of Teresa and Daniel lurking in the hallways. The house was finally, truly theirs.
Mateo had hired a team of elite architects and contractors.
They completely removed the infamous balcony. The stone, the broken railing, and the torn curtains were entirely dismantled and destroyed.
In its place, they built a massive, beautiful, sunlit conservatory made entirely of reinforced glass. It was filled with vibrant, blooming flowers, lush green plants, and the soothing sound of a small water feature.
"You turned the nightmare into a garden,"
Elena smiled, walking into the conservatory and touching a blooming white rose.
"He is a gardener,"
