Chapter 27 - The Cyber Hunt
The profound, absolute sincerity in Valeria's eyes shattered Mateo's paranoia instantly.
He realized with a terrifying clarity that he had nearly fallen directly into a meticulously laid trap.
"Someone is framing you,"
Mateo breathed out, his hands clenching into tight fists.
"And they have access to the estate's internal server to fake the IP address,"
Valeria realized, her sharp mind connecting the tactical dots.
"We have a mole inside the house."
Mateo immediately summoned the head of his private security detail, a highly trained ex-military commander named Reyes.
"I need a complete, brutal, absolute lockdown of the digital network,"
Mateo ordered, handing the fake emails to Reyes.
"Someone mirrored my sister-in-law's IP address. Find the breach. I don't care how much it costs or how many servers you have to rip out of the walls. I want a name by midnight."
