In the maximum-security wing of the city jail, Teresa sat across from her high-priced defense attorney. Her orange jumpsuit was a stark contrast to her usual designer gowns, but her arrogance remained intact.
"I want bail," Teresa snapped. "And I want Daniel's assets transferred to offshore accounts immediately."

"Mrs. Teresa, the judge denied bail," the lawyer said nervously. "There is high-definition video of the incident, the chief of security’s testimony, and physical evidence. Furthermore... the bank has frozen your accounts. Someone presented a superior claim to the estate this morning."
Teresa’s face drained of color. "The maid," she hissed venomously. "She found the key."
