Chapter 14 - The Lethal Alchemy


Victoria’s furious, burning gaze followed the maid's trembling finger downward to the floor.
What she saw instantly drained the hot, angry blood from her face, leaving her completely pale.
The spilled milk was not merely spreading across the wood in a normal, benign liquid puddle. It was violently, aggressively reacting with the air and the varnish.
The white liquid began to bubble and hiss aggressively, generating a dense, thick, highly unnatural yellow foam.

A highly unusual, acrid, incredibly toxic chemical smoke began to rise directly from the center of the puddle. The liquid was completely stripping the expensive, thick varnish right off the hardwood floor, eating deeply and brutally into the solid wood grain with a terrifying sizzle.
It was an undeniable, horrific visual revelation. The milk was not nourishment; it was a highly concentrated, lethal acid.
