Chapter 11 - The Rain of Glass

As Rosa fell helplessly to the ground, her desperate, tight grip on the glass bottle finally failed her.
The crystal bottle slipped from her trembling fingers, flying through the air in a slow, terrifying, parabolic arc.
It crashed violently against the polished wooden floorboards, shattering instantly into dozens of sharp, jagged, incredibly dangerous pieces.
The warm, white milk splashed aggressively across the expensive hardwood, spreading out in a wide, irregular puddle around the sparkling shards of glass.

Inside the crib, baby Arthur stirred, letting out a soft whimper at the loud noise, but mercifully remained safe.
