Chapter 20 - The Woman at the Gallery

While Daniel was in Chicago, Olivia was managing a busy afternoon at her art gallery in Boston.
The bell above the door chimed, and a woman walked in. She wore a tailored beige coat, her graying hair pinned back elegantly. She walked with a quiet, undeniable strength.
Olivia froze. She recognized the woman instantly. It was the face that had haunted her dreams—the face of the stranger who had stood guard over Ethan's hospital room.
"You,"
Olivia breathed, stepping out from behind the counter.
"You're the woman from the hospital."
The woman offered a faint, sorrowful smile.
"Hello, Olivia. You have a beautiful gallery."
"Who are you?"
Olivia demanded, her protective instincts immediately flaring.
"I am Eleanor,"

the woman replied softly.
"I am Daniel's mother."
