The labor began on a warm, beautiful summer night.
There was no chaos. There was no panic. They drove to the private maternity ward with a calm, focused anticipation.
Ethan never left her side for a single fraction of a second. He held her hand, whispering words of fierce encouragement, acting as her unshakeable anchor through the exhausting hours of labor.
"You are so strong, Olivia. You are doing perfectly,"
Ethan promised, pressing a cool cloth to her forehead.
Finally, a loud, furious, and incredibly beautiful cry echoed through the sterile hospital room.
