Chapter 17 - The Public Gala
The charity gala was their first major public appearance.
The ballroom was filled with the city’s elite, many of whom had been distant when the scandal broke.
Now, they were all smiles, hoping to get back into the good graces of the rising star.
Ethan wore his tuxedo with confidence, and Olivia looked radiant in a deep blue gown.
"They're watching us,"
Olivia whispered as they entered.
"Let them watch,"
Ethan replied.
"We have nothing to hide anymore."
As they walked through the crowd, people came up to congratulate them.
Ethan handled the professional conversations, while Olivia navigated the social ones.
It was a delicate dance, but they moved together with ease.
"You’re doing great,"
Ethan whispered to her.
"I’m just standing here,"
Olivia laughed.
"You’re representing us,"
