Chapter 42 - The Boardroom Queen

At ten o'clock, Olivia walked into the executive boardroom of the downtown headquarters.
She wore an immaculate, tailored ivory suit. She did not look like the terrified woman who had been bullied and manipulated months ago. She looked like an absolute, untouchable queen stepping into her hard-won throne room.
The remaining board members—those who had cowardly stayed neutral during the war—sat silently, waiting to see how the new CEO would rule.

Olivia stated, taking her seat at the absolute head of the massive obsidian table.

"Ms. Olivia, the market has been highly volatile due to the leadership transition. How do you plan to stabilize the stock?"
The executive asked hesitantly.
"I am not going to stabilize it, Arthur,"
Olivia replied, her voice cold, steady, and incredibly powerful.
