Chapter 11 - The Saboteur

Two weeks into the transition, a crisis hit.
Important project files began disappearing from the secure servers, and sensitive bidding information for a new contract was leaked to a competitor.
Ethan knew it wasn't a glitch.
It was internal.
He called Olivia, who was at home with Maya.
"Someone is sabotaging the transition,"
Ethan said, pacing the length of his office.
"They’re trying to make me look incompetent to the board."
"Who has access, Ethan?"
Olivia asked, her voice calm and analytical.
"Only the senior staff,"
Ethan replied.
"The people who were loyal to my father."
"You need to isolate them,"
Olivia advised.
"Don't fire them yet. Watch them. Give them the rope they need to hang themselves."
"You’re brilliant,"
Ethan said, a small smile finally touching his lips.
"I’m just a mother who doesn't want her husband’s career sabotaged,"

Olivia laughed.
"Go catch the rat."
