Chapter 27 - The Counter-Strike

I returned home and told Daniel exactly what had happened.
The assault on my boundaries was the final straw. Daniel did not wait for the family court date.
He leveraged his immaculate reputation and his network within the Department of Justice. He handed the evidence of the wire transfers, the proxy harassment, and the probation violations directly to the federal probation office.
"Aunt Beatrice just received a visit from two federal agents,"
Daniel announced three days later, walking into the living room and loosening his tie.
"What happened?"
I asked, looking up from my laptop.
"She completely folded,"

"The moment they threatened to indict her as an accessory to wire fraud, she handed over all the text messages, emails, and bank receipts proving your mother orchestrated the entire lawsuit to circumvent the restraining order."
