Chapter 19 - The Coastal Sanctuary

They did not return to the sprawling, rainy city.

Daniel purchased a beautiful, sunlit home on the coast. It had massive, floor-to-ceiling windows that looked out over the crashing ocean, entirely devoid of dark corners or suffocating stone walls.

It was a fortress built of light, designed specifically to keep the shadows at bay.

One afternoon, Valeria stood on the wooden deck, holding baby Leo in her arms, watching the sun slowly set over the horizon.

Daniel walked up behind her, wrapping his arms securely around her waist, resting his chin gently on her shoulder.

"It's peaceful here,"

Daniel murmured, breathing in the crisp, salty air.
