"My son must absolutely believe that this child does not belong to him,"
Teresa’s recorded voice instructed, her tone dripping with calculated malice.
"If Daniel discovers the truth, he will undoubtedly alter his final will and testament to include the child. And my other grandson, the true heir to this family, will lose his exclusive control over the empire."
The video abruptly ended, the screen fading to a solid, empty black.
The silence that followed was heavy, toxic, and utterly unbearable.
Daniel slowly lowered the phone.
Tears of absolute, profound devastation began to stream down his face, mixing heavily with the freezing rain.
For the last three months, Daniel had firmly believed that Valeria had been unfaithful. He had believed the falsified DNA results provided by that very doctor.
