Chapter 39 - The Recipe for PeaceSix months later.

The winter snow had blanketed the Hamptons estate, turning the sprawling property into a serene, quiet wonderland. Inside the house, the fireplace crackled warmly, casting a golden glow over the living room.
Felix sat in a large leather armchair, nursing a glass of expensive bourbon, watching the snow fall outside the massive windows.
The world had moved on quickly. Julian Sterling was currently serving a thirty-year sentence in a federal penitentiary for corporate espionage, racketeering, and extortion. Celeste Arden was back behind bars, her parole permanently revoked, serving a life sentence for armed hostage-taking and fleeing a federal jurisdiction.
Kingsley Hospitality Group, now firmly back under Felix’s absolute control, had rebounded stronger than ever, praised globally for its transparency and philanthropic efforts.
"Smells like victory," Felix smiled as Sarah walked into the living room, carrying a tray of freshly baked cinnamon rolls—Lily’s favorite.
"Smells like Saturday morning," Sarah corrected, setting the tray down on the coffee table and curling up in his lap, stealing a sip of his bourbon. "The foundation just secured full funding for the next decade. The new flagship location opens in London next week."
"You are incredible, Mrs. Kingsley," Felix murmured, kissing her forehead.
"We make a good team," Sarah smiled, resting her head against his chest.
Lily bounded down the stairs in her pajamas, accompanied by Max the golden retriever, who immediately made a beeline for the cinnamon rolls.
"Dad! Mom! Look what arrived in the mail!" Lily cheered, holding up a thick envelope sealed with red wax.
Felix and Sarah shared a look of pure, unadulterated contentment. The villains had been vanquished, the past had been buried with Odette, and the future was finally theirs to write. They had survived the storms, the betrayals, and the boardrooms, discovering that true wealth had nothing to do with bank accounts, and everything to do with the people sitting in the room with you.
The perfect recipe for a beautiful life.

But as Lily opened the envelope, a strange silence fell over the room.
