Chapter 14 - The Billionaire's Wrath
When Felix finally burst back into the PICU, the chaotic scene in Room 4 had settled into a tense, agonizing quiet. The crash cart had been pushed to the side, and a team of exhausted doctors were clustered around the bed.
Sarah was sitting in the recliner, her face buried in her hands, her shoulders shaking with silent, relentless sobs.
"Sarah," Felix gasped, his heart stopping in his chest. "Is she...?"
Sarah looked up, her eyes red and swollen. She offered a weak, fragile nod. "They stabilized her. The sudden trauma triggered a severe panic response and a minor cardiac event, but... she didn't get the injection. You stopped her, Felix. You saved her."
Felix let out a shuddering breath, leaning heavily against the doorframe. He walked over to the bed, looking down at Lily’s peaceful, sleeping face. The blood had been cleaned up, a fresh IV line secured in her other arm.
He turned his back on the bed and walked out into the hallway, pulling his phone from his pocket. He dialed his lead corporate attorney, a ruthless bulldog of a lawyer named Vance.
"Mr. Kingsley," Vance answered immediately, despite it being 3:00 a.m.
"Vance, listen to me very carefully," Felix ordered, his voice cold and devoid of any human emotion. "I want you to initiate a hostile, complete liquidation of all assets connected to Celeste Arden’s subsidiary brands. I want her bakery chain bankrupted by morning."
"Sir, that will cost the Kingsley Group tens of millions in immediate losses," Vance warned, shocked by the directive.
"I do not care if it costs billions," Felix snarled. "I want you to freeze her corporate accounts, lock her out of her penthouse, and file an emergency injunction to seize her intellectual property. Then, I want you to draft a formal declaration for the board. I am triggering the founder’s clause. I am forcibly removing Odette Kingsley from the board of directors effective immediately."
"Sir, your mother will go to war over this," Vance cautioned.

"Let her," Felix declared, his eyes blazing with a dangerous, unstoppable fire. "I am burning the empire to the ground, Vance. And I am making sure Celeste and my mother are trapped inside when it falls."
