Chapter 31 - The Digital SiegeThe basement of the Kingsley Hamptons estate was transformed overnight into a high-tech war room. Six massive monitors illuminated the dark space, displaying rolling streams of code, offshore bank routing numbers, and encrypted communication logs.

Felix stood at the center of it all, his sleeves rolled up, looking like the ruthless apex predator he had buried years ago. Beside him sat Viktor, an underground cyber-mercenary who specialized in dismantling offshore shell companies for ultra-wealthy clients who needed problems to quietly disappear.

"Julian Sterling is fast," Viktor grunted, his fingers flying across the mechanical keyboard. "He’s already initiating the transfer protocols. He’s trying to move three billion dollars of Kingsley Hospitality liquid assets into Vanguard’s Cayman Island accounts before the markets open at 9:00 AM."

"Can you intercept the routing?" Felix asked, his eyes locked on a red progress bar ticking steadily upward.

"Intercepting a federal wire is impossible," Viktor said, taking a sip of black coffee. "But forging a redirection protocol inside his own Vanguard servers? That, I can do. He thinks he's transferring your money to his vault. I'm building a ghost mirror."

Sarah walked down the stairs, carrying two mugs of espresso. She placed them on the desk, watching the chaos with quiet awe. She had never seen this side of Felix in action—the cold, calculating warlord who could dismantle a billion-dollar empire without blinking.

"It’s 8:45 AM," Sarah noted, checking her watch. "He’s going to execute the transfer soon."

"Let him," Felix said, a dark smile playing on his lips. "Viktor, are the Cayman accounts primed?"

"Primed and ready, boss. I’ve routed the destination addresses to a blind philanthropic trust registered in Geneva. If Sterling hits execute, he won't be stealing your money. He will be legally, irreversibly donating the entirety of Vanguard Holdings' liquid capital to the Global Food Bank Initiative."

At 8:58 AM, the main monitor flashed a brilliant, pulsing red.

TRANSFER INITIATED. AUTHORIZATION: J. STERLING.

Felix held his breath. For ten agonizing seconds, the screen buffered, calculating the massive data load of billions of dollars shifting through the global banking network.

Then, the screen flashed a bright, solid green.

TRANSFER COMPLETE. DESTINATION: GENEVA PHILANTHROPIC TRUST.

Viktor leaned back in his chair, a wide grin spreading across his face. "He just hit the button, Felix. Julian Sterling just gave away every single cent he owns to charity. Vanguard Holdings is officially bankrupt."

Felix exhaled, pulling Sarah into a fierce embrace. They had just saved the company.
