I packed my briefcase and turned off the office lights. Walking out of the Mercer Dynamics building, the cool night air brushed against my face. My phone buzzed in my pocket—a text from an anonymous source regarding a pharmaceutical company manipulating clinical trial data.

A new puzzle. A new hunt.

I smiled. Grant had tried to break me, and in doing so, he had forged something entirely unbreakable. I stepped into the waiting car, ready for whatever the dark corporate world would throw at me next. I was the Director of Ethics, and my ledgers always balanced.
