Later in the evening, Valentina stepped out onto the grand terrace of the hotel to get some fresh air.

The city lights twinkled below, a beautiful, sprawling tapestry of life and energy.

Julian stepped out onto the terrace a moment later, holding two fresh glasses of sparkling water.

Julian asked gently, offering her a glass.

"Just taking a moment to breathe,"

Valentina smiled, accepting the water.

"You handled the room perfectly tonight,"

Julian noted, standing beside her, looking out at the city.

"You have a natural gift for commanding respect without ever having to raise your voice."

"I learned the hard way that silence can be much more powerful than shouting,"

Valentina said softly, looking down at her glass.

Julian turned slightly, his dark eyes locking onto hers with a profound, genuine intensity.

"I have worked with a lot of executives, Valentina. But I have never met anyone quite like you,"

Julian said, his voice dropping to a low, sincere register.

Valentina looked up, meeting his gaze. There was no manipulation in his eyes. There was no cowardice. There was only absolute respect and a quiet, budding affection that felt entirely safe.
