Chapter 14 - The Financial Guillotine

Valentina had known for nearly a year that the Cabrales Group was in a critical state of financial ruin.

As a meticulous auditor, she had noticed glaring discrepancies in some loose documents Rodrigo had carelessly left out. When she had confronted her father months ago, Augusto hadn't lied: he had an open, massive line of credit extended to the Cabrales family, secured by aggressive agreements that could be called in at any time.
