Chapter 32 - The Boardroom Triumph

The hostile negotiation took exactly forty-eight hours, just as Valentina had predicted.

The executives of the target telecommunications firm sat across the table, sweating profusely as their stock prices continued to bleed out on the open market.

Valentina sat at the head of her side of the table, perfectly calm, holding the revised contract.

"The offer is non-negotiable,"

Valentina stated, sliding the heavy document across the polished mahogany.

"We assume your debt, we provide the capital injection to stabilize your market share, and in return, we take three board seats and immediate veto power over all future acquisitions."

The opposing CEO, a stubborn older man, glared at her.

"This is extortion, Ms. Villanueva."

"This is a lifeline,"

Valentina corrected him smoothly, her eyes locking onto his.

"Without this capital, your firm will file for bankruptcy by the end of the quarter. Sign the paper, save your employees' jobs, and let us manage the risk you so clearly failed to handle."

The CEO looked at his lawyers, who all gave him grim, defeated nods. With a trembling hand, he signed the document.

Julian, standing behind Valentina, allowed a rare, triumphant grin to cross his face. Valentina had just secured the most lucrative deal of the year, cementing her legacy in the firm entirely on her own merit.
