Chapter 31 - The Deduction

Before Marcus could even formulate a coherent syllable in his defense, the heavy oak doors of the boardroom swung open with a resounding crack. A contingent of federal agents specializing in corporate fraud and economic crimes marched swiftly into the room, brandishing a heavily stamped warrant for his immediate arrest. The investigative dossier Liam had meticulously compiled was utterly flawless, leaving absolutely zero legal loopholes or procedural gaps for a defense attorney to exploit.

In a matter of seconds, Marcus's aristocratic arrogance disintegrated into raw, unfiltered panic. The color completely drained from his face as the cold steel handcuffs snapped forcefully around his wrists. As the agents aggressively frog-marched him past the head of the table, he spat a stream of venomous, desperate curses in my direction.

I did not flinch; I merely offered him a look of profound, icy indifference. The traitorous board members who had enthusiastically backed his coup mere minutes ago were now completely silent, staring fixedly at the mahogany table, terrified of the impending reckoning. The second, and final, great purge of the Apex Development executive hierarchy had officially begun.
