She hit 'send' on her encrypted laptop, dispatching the damning evidence to Apex Development’s outside directors, the bank’s corporate fraud division, and the district attorney’s white-collar crime unit.

At 1:17 a.m., an emergency virtual meeting of the Apex board of directors was convened. Presented with undeniable proof of a $4.8 million embezzlement scheme and video evidence of the CEO's violent felony assault, the vote took less than ten minutes. Ethan was unanimously stripped of his title, his salary, and his access to the building.
