Chapter 34 - The Island

The Bahamas were breathtaking, but I saw only the danger. The island was a lush, green paradise hiding a bunker of pure evil.
"We drop in at night," Arthur said, checking the parachute gear. "We have one shot."
We jumped from the private plane, the cool night air rushing past us as we glided toward the island. We landed softly in the dense jungle, ditching our chutes and moving toward the facility.
It was a sprawling mansion disguised as a luxury resort. But the security—laser grids, motion sensors, armed patrols—was undeniable.
"They're expecting someone, but not us," I whispered.
"We move fast, we strike hard, and we get out," Arthur said.
We slipped past the outer perimeter, moving through the shadows of the manicured gardens. We reached the main entrance and neutralized the guards with silence and precision.
"Okay," I said, standing in the marble foyer of the mansion. "Let’s find the vault."

We moved toward the basement, where the air grew cooler and the hum of machinery became audible.
"It’s not a vault," Arthur realized, as we reached a massive, reinforced door. "It’s a command center."
